According to Public Information Subcommittee of organizers Asian Beach Games (ABG), there are a series of attractive sideline activities held in the period before and during Asian Beach Games 5 (ABG5).

Getting started with the procession the ABG5's mascot Swift, the National Flag, and ABG's Flag from the capital Hanoi to Da Nang, with nearly 1,000 km to go in four days through 15 provinces and cities and 15 stops, the procession will call on people to sign the flag and enterprises to accompany the Congress.

The mascot of ABG5 is iconic stylized swift, which is more than 6 meters high; 14 other 3 meter high swifts show the 14 sports of the Congress; a 500 m2 ABG5 flag; 1,800 m2 Vietnam National Flag; and 45 national flags. There are hundreds of organizers, traffic police and 10,000 volunteers participating in the procession at stops where the team is passing.

Some attractive activities for tourists to Da Nang on this occasion is ABG5 balloon festival and congress flag. With meticulous and thoughtful preparation, the balloon fleet of Chien Thang Company will bring 10 balloons which will be continuously flying during the congress. A 500m2 flag is the most powerful highlight to promote the image of the Congress.

Especially, citizens and visitors can be flown in the balloon to admire and experience a new feeling, gaze at the panoramic view of Da Nang city, and sign ABG5's flag.Other meaningful activities include collecting ABG5's souvenirs in Da Nang and holding the ABG5 Souvenirs Exhibition in Hanoi.

This is an activity to honour the participation and dedication of all athletes in the ABG5. After the exhibition ends, the organizers will select some typical items to auction for charity. Another activity is the keeping moments of Congress photo contests, the winning photo will be exhibited and awarded in the ending of program./.
