Along with the efforts to overcome war consequences, the Doi Moi and international integration initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam have brought about great achievements of historical significance. According to Chap Sotharith, General Secretary of the Cambodia - Vietnam Friendship Association, the event recalled the historical moment that paved the way to victory, independence, peace, and unification, not only for the Vietnamese people but for all peace advocates in the world.

With the Paris Peace Accord 1973, with the spirit of national self-determination, and the support from friends all over the world, Vietnam has overcome many challenges and reached great achievements under the wise leadership of the Communist Party. Vietnam is now a rising economic power in the region and an active party in global politics.
