A Song Marking Vietnam – Japan Close Friendship Sang in Tokyo
Hundreds of Japanese students participated in an international exchange day on October 14 at Tomigaya Elementary School in Tokyo, Japan. At the event, five young Vietnamese people won awards in the singing contest for the Vietnam - Japan friendship song “Tomodachi - Tinh ban” (Tomodachi - Friendship) on the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Japanese students could learn about Vietnam by presenting their understanding of Vietnamese dishes, culture, tourism potential or the differences between Japanese and Vietnamese education. Meanwhile, Vietnamese young people have the opportunity to understand the learning activities of Japanese students better. Together they express their dreams of a world of peace, solidarity, and mutual affection.

The song “Tomodachi - Tinh ban” has been held across Vietnam by the special committee for the 50th founding anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (September 21, 1973 - 2023) under the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with several agencies and units of the two countries.
The song is a declaration of equal friendship, regardless of distance, age, ethnicity, skin color, as long as people agree and understand. The lyrics testify that the people of Vietnam and Japan will create a wonderful, peaceful and happy world.
The organizers hope that by singing with one voice and singing one song, the message of the Vietnam - Japan friendship will be continued and passed on to future generations.

In particular, the contest received enthusiastic support from authorities, schools, and organizations throughout Vietnam.
