According to Pham Hoang Anh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Vinh Phuc Province, the contest aims to educate morality and patriotism for teenagers and children of Vietnam and Japan. It also helps the young generation discover and encourage talents and creates an environment for Japanese and Vietnamese children and teenagers to interact with each other.
Besides, when expressing their understanding and imagination about their country through their works, citizens of both countries will better understand the history, culture, nature, and customs of Vietnam and Japan.
More than 14,000 works were submitted to the contest after more than a month of launching with topics such as history, culture, people, Japanese art, and Vietnam–Japan relations.
