The project, signed on September 25, is financed by ESPRIT, in collaboration with You Foundation-Education for Children In Need (Germany) with the budget of EUR 75.950 (USD 86.334), and implemented to the end of November 2019.

YES Center project was designed to empower youth, especially girls and young women, by strengthening their skills and voices for economic self-reliance to take a leadership role in poverty alleviation initiatives in Vietnam. The project has cooperated with CWDS to develop vocational and short-term working skill courses to improve the working capacity of selected trainees. In the near future, the project hopes to establish and become a reliable center for employment consultation and youth empowerment.

During the project implementation, YES Center is also going to empower corporations and CWDS’ staff with knowledge on Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Risk Management, contributing to their skills in planning and carrying out company-based disaster preparedness initiatives.

YES Center project expects to support at least 500 youth, aged 15 to 25, who are living and studying in Hanoi, with vocational and working skill training courses.
