On June 8th, the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, in coordination with Vietravel Company, opened the Vinh - Bangkok air route at Vinh airport.

The air route operates only one flight a month on June 8th, July 13th and August 10th. The flight duration is one hour 30 minutes by using Thai Vietjet’s A320 aircraft with 180 seats.

The new route opened opportunities to develop international tourism and created favourable conditions to lure investment in tourism and socio-economic development in North Central region, especially Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa.

In his speech at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee, said that the inauguration of the air route will intensify economic cooperation, especially in tourism between Nghe An and Bangkok in particular, as well as neighbouring localities such as Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa in general./.
