The collection not only illustrates the designer’s passion for fashion and traditional values but also conveys his wish to strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and foreign friends.
Nam’s Ao Dai show will be the opening event of his ‘Beauty of Vietnam’ programme scheduled for the Cannes Film Festival 2018 to promote the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai.
Nam was the only Vietnamese fashion designer to be invited to the Paris Fashion Week-Haute Couture 2018 on January 23rd. He brought his collection entitled ‘Women in Love’ to the event, grouping 30 Ao Dai produced in silk and satin that were made in France and Italy.
In 2017, he also impressed the attendants at the 26th Couture Fashion Week New York with his Ao Dai collection, entitled Sen Vang (Golden Lotus), in which he utilised Vietnamese silk and satin produced by skilled artisans from Vietnam’s traditional craft villages.
