AO victims in Bac Giang province to enjoy nursing and detoxification house

Agent Orange victims in the northern province of Bac Giang will have a chance to enjoy better care after a nursing and detoxification house was presented to them on July 14th by a humanitarian fund entitled “Bau oi”, and the Printing House under the General Staff of the Vietnamese People’s Army”.

Agent Orange victims in the northern province of Bac Giang will have a chance to enjoy better care after a nursing and detoxification house was presented to them on July 14th by a humanitarian fund entitled “Bau oi”, and the Printing House under the General Staff of the Vietnamese People’s Army”.

The project construction started in 2012 with an estimated capital of VND2 billion, including VND865 million from the humanitarian fund “Bau oi” and VND570 million from the Printing House.

The house will provide rehabilitation, production and cultural and sports activities for AO victims.

Speaking during the granting ceremony, Lieutenant-General Hoang Chau Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange, confirmed that the house was a payment of gratitude and a great encouragement for AO victims. He said he hoped for greater assistance from sponsors to share AO victims’ difficulties and hardships.

Bac Giang province has some 4,000 war participants infected with AO/dioxin. The majority of them are leading difficult lives./.
