Aomori Japan Food Fair 2017 to kick off in Hanoi
(VNF) - Over a dozen food vendors from Japan will be presented at the first ever Aomori Japan Food Fair starting from January 18th to 22nd in Hanoi.
The five-day fair also will be sampling and selling products such as black garlic, teas, mochi, seafood and much more at Aeon Mall Long Bien (31 Co Long Str., Long Bien Ward, Long Bien Dist., Hanoi).
Especially, the fresh Aomori apples harvested in 2016 season are imported directly from Aomori, Japan. These fresh and delicious apples have been imported directly from Japan for Vietnamese consumers following Vietnam’s official approval in late 2015 to allow apple importation from Japan.
Aomori Prefecture is known for their agricultural and fishing industries and sharing their best regional delicacies with foodies around the world through traveling food fairs. Aomori is the northernmost prefecture on the main island of Japan surrounded by three bodies of water and pristine natural beauty.
It is also the most famous apple growing region in Japan and supplies 50 per cent of all apples in Japan. The farmers in Aomori use meticulous techniques when raising apples, such as carefully wrapping apples whilst still on the tree, cutting off small flowers and fruits to keep nutrition for the large apples and using reflective panels to ensure the best colour of the apples.
The apples are selected through a strict process of measuring color, size, sweetness, acidity and ripeness to evaluate and classify the apples. Soil, pesticide residues and even radioactivity analysis is researched carefully to ensure the top quality of each and every apple./.
