The winner of the contest is Nguyen Viet Hung, a freelance designer.
His entry, number 30th, features Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House and the star of the Vietnamese flag. The logo was inspired by his first memories of Australia and the participation of the Vietnamese sporting team at the Sydney Olympic Games 2000, according to Hung.
Besides Hung, other 10 contestants have been honored as runner-up of the contest.
The competition, launched in October 2017, was held by the Australian Embassy to Vietnam and the University of Industrial Fine Arts, aiming to look for creative designs that reflect the 45-year journey the two countries have shared./.
