On this occasion, the German Embassy will organize many activities, notably the German Festival, scheduled to take place from October 17 to 19 at the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity. The festival will highlight achievements in development cooperation between the two nations, featuring cultural and culinary booths, music performances, and activities for young people. Thomas Anders, former member of Modern Talking, will perform in Hanoi on October 25.

Another key initiative marking this milestone is the Career Guidance Bus, launched under the theme "Bringing millions of dreams", which will travel across Vietnam throughout 2025. This project aims to provide information on career and training opportunities in Germany, safe and legal pathways for studying and working abroad, language and cultural preparation programs, and vocational and university education options in Vietnam aligned with German standards.

The Career Guidance Bus has commenced its journey in Hanoi, traveling through 20 provinces and cities across Vietnam. This initiative aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in labor migration and expand opportunities for Vietnamese youth to access the international labor market.

German Ambassador Helga Margarete Barth expressed her hope that the Hanoi city government would facilitate the effective and successful implementation of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh welcomed the German Embassy’s proposal, affirming that Hanoi is committed to supporting and assisting the Embassy’s activities, particularly those marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

On this occasion, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with German localities to promote investment and trade, connect business communities, and enhance opportunities for cooperation and investment.

Additionally, Hanoi proposed that Germany support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the capital, enabling them to leverage the Vietnam-European Union Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to access European and German markets. The city also seeks to boost exports of its key products, including agricultural goods, textiles, and footwear. Furthermore, tourism remains a promising sector, and expanded cooperation in this field is encouraged for the future.
