Australian team wins Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015

The two-day fireworks competition in the central coastal city of Da Nang closed on April 29th with the championship belonging to Australian team of Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics.

The second prize went to Surex Firma Rodzinna team (Poland) while Pyrotecnico team (the US) and the Da Nang host team (Vietnam) both shared the third prize. Fireworks for Africa team (South Africa) was awarded the consolation prize.

Over the two-day performances, audiences had chances to enjoy colorful masterpieces on the Han River.

On the sideline, the festival included the release of 50,000 colourful lanterns, a flower boat parade on the Han River and various art performances.

The competition was broadcasted live on national and international television channels including Star World, BBC World and National Geographic in Asia.

Launched in 2008, Da Nang is the only city in Vietnam to host the competition./.
