The program was attended by Tran Phu Cuong, Head of the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM) under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations; Dang Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau People's Committee, Head of the Foreign Non-Governmental Affairs Committee of the province; representatives of relevant departments and sectors, and representatives of NGOs operating in the province.

As part of the program, the delegates reviewed the significant achievements in mobilizing and utilizing foreign non-governmental aid in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. They also shared experiences and proposed future cooperation directions.
During the event, Dang Minh Thong highlighted the critical role of foreign non-governmental aid in enhancing the quality of life for the province's residents and promoting socio-economic development. He stressed that Ba Ria - Vung Tau prioritizes foreign affairs, especially people-to-people diplomacy. Since 2021, the provincial People's Committee has approved various departments, and localities to receive foreign non-governmental aid totaling 3.2 million USD, with nearly 1.9 million USD (over 45 billion VND) disbursed to date. The funded projects focus on areas such as health, education, rural development, agriculture, social protection, and the environment.
Dang Minh Thong noted that foreign non-governmental aid is a valuable resource that supports effective social security work, improves the lives of poor households and disadvantaged individuals, and assists children in difficult circumstances. This aid also contributes to building and enhancing solidarity and friendship between the people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and people worldwide.
He confirmed that the provincial People's Committee will continue to facilitate favorable conditions for foreign non-governmental organizations to operate, ensuring the effective implementation of future cooperation programs and projects.
During the program, three foreign non-governmental organizations presented symbolic plaques for three projects aimed at supporting children, as well as improving vocational skills and English training for students in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, with a total value of nearly 128,600 USD.
On this occasion, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province expressed their gratitude by presenting flowers to seven organizations and three individuals who have significantly contributed to foreign non-governmental activities in recent times.
