In recent times, Vietnam has achieved remarkable achievements in the digital transformation. Compared to 2023, Vietnam has increased 15 places in the e-Government Development Index, 2 places in the global innovation index and 8 places in the global cybersecurity index.
Revenue from e-commerce has grown strongly, many businesses have applied digital technology to improve production and business efficiency.
Besides the successes, there are still many challenges that need to be solved such as lack of quality human resources, incomplete policy mechanisms, and unsecured cybersecurity.
He suggested that ministries, localities and relevant agencies need to raise awareness of the role of digital transformation in improving national competitiveness.
To create a favorable environment for digital transformation, it is necessary to improve institutions, mechanisms, and policies, especially laws related to electronic transactions, data, and personal information protection. At the same time, it is necessary to develop high-quality digital technology, focusing on key areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing. Integrating these technologies into information systems will help better serve the needs of people and businesses.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh expressed his hope: "Through the forum, managers, investors, scientists, the business community and representatives of ministries, branches and localities will receive many lessons. Therefore, spread the aspiration to develop the digital economy, digital transformation of the country, and promote more actively the common cause of the country. With high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions of the entire political system, organizations, agencies, people and businesses, we believe that we will continue to achieve many breakthroughs in developing the digital economy and digital society with the motto "Wider - More comprehensive - Faster - Better quality - More practical".
