Nguyen Van Hung was born in April 20, 1961, at Vinh Hung Commune, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province. Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung was appointed Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly on April 8, 2021.

Nguyen Van Hung is the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly.
1979 – 1983: Joining Naval Forces, learning Financial Accounting, logistics assistant, managing batallion 5, head of platoon, Batallion 8, Group 403, Naval High Command.
1983 – 1984: Discharged from the army, working at Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Ben Hai district, Binh Tri Thien Province; member of Ben Hai’s district Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee.
1984 – 1988: Working at Ben Hai District Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, member of the Ben Hai district Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Committee and Standing Board, in charge of young workers and defence-security.
