Book on President Ho Chi Minh’s testaments launched in Bangladesh

A book on late President Ho Chi Minh’s testaments by author Vu Ky (1921-2005) was debuted in Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 13th to mark the 127th birth anniversary of late President.

(VNF) - A book on late President Ho Chi Minh’s testaments by author Vu Ky (1921-2005) was debuted in Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 13th to mark the 127th birth anniversary of the late President.

Titled “Bác Hồ viết di chúc” (How Ho Chi Minh wrote his testament), the book was translated into Bengali from its English edition, published by Thế Giới (World) Publishers in Vietnamese in 2013.

Ky worked as the President's secretary for many years and when the president passed away, he became Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

Addressing at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador in Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa emphasized that this is the first time a book about President Ho Chi Minh was translated into Bengali and published to Bangladeshi readers. This version of the book aims to help Bangladeshi friends deepen their understanding of President Ho life and work, thereby contributing to strengthening and furthering friendship, traditions between both countries.

After a careful process of preparation and effort, and through several exchanges between the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh and Nawab Salimullah Institute, especially since the second half of 2016, the book has been completed on the occasion of his 127th birthday anniversary.

The process of translation and publication of the book has also received active support from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the World Publishers and the Ho Chi Minh Museum on copyright issues and original photographic materials.

The guests attending the event expressed their admiration and respect for President Ho Chi Minh because he passed on the revolutionary fire and resilience to the people of Bangladesh in the struggle for national liberation./.
