Visit Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh

On October 9, at Halong Marina Beach Square in Halong Marina tourist urban area, a fashion show themed "Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest" took place on the coast of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay.

Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin said: “I feel so lucky to wear a beautiful costume and catwalk in such a beautiful setting. Being here is a very wonderful and unique experience. I saw pictures of Ha Long and I thought “Wow! Shimmering beauty!" And when I came here, I felt even more surprised by the wonderful energy of this land. I will definitely come back to Ha Long Bay”.

After the fashion show, contestants of the Miss Grand International will go sightseeing, try out restaurant cruises, and explore the typical culinary culture of Quang Ninh. The group stayed in Quang Ninh from October 8 -10, then continued their schedule to Da Nang City.

Explore the beauty of Hanoi capital

At the special national historical site of Thay Pagoda and the “Quintessence of Tonkin” stage in Sai Son commune (Quoc Oai district, Hanoi city), more than 70 contestants participated in the Miss Grand International 2023 had a meaningful and impressive experience.

At Thay Pagoda, they were warmly and cordially welcomed by the authorities and local people. Beauty pageant contestants impressed everybody with their friendliness and likability by constantly saying the Vietnamese phrases “Xin chao”.

They were introduced to the local culture, explored the unique architecture of Thay Pagoda, and learned the historical stories of Zen Master Tu Dao Hanh. Closing the tour of Thay Pagoda, wearing Vietnamese traditional four-piece costumes imbued with Vietnamese culture designed by Thach Linh, more than 70 beauties took many photos at the Pagoda.

Then, contestants had the opportunity to experience and enjoy art at Tuan Chau International tourist attraction, the largest tourist destination in Quoc Oai district. Contestants experienced the countryside market, visited the water puppet museum, tried out the Cheraw dance, etc. Later, they enjoyed Vietnam's first real-life art show called the Quintessence of Tonkin, which made 2 Guinness Vietnam Records for the show with the largest water stage in Vietnam and the show with the largest number of actors who are farmers.

Watching with their own eyes the "peasant artists" performing the Quintessence of Tonkin, the contestants and thousands of spectators were impressed by the performance depicting traditional folk features, demonstrating the profoundness of culture and history of the Red River Delta elaborately staged, using state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.

Contestants participating in Miss Grand International 2023 have a tight schedule, going through many provinces and cities from North to South of Vietnam including Hanoi, Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An (Quang Nam) and Ho Chi Minh City.
