(VNF) - The "Buddhist Heritage of the World" photo exhibition will come to the capital city of Vietnam, beginning next week, thank to the supports of the Indian Cultural Center.

The exhibition will display dozens of large photographs of Buddhist heritage captured by renowned Indian art historian Benoy K. Behl in over the past four decades.

Benoy K Behl is an Indian film-maker, art-historian and photographer who is known for his tireless and prolific output of work over the past 40 years.

His films, including 26 documentaries on ‘The Paintings of India’have been screened at universities and museums in several countries around the world.

The exhibition at the Indian Cultural Center will take visitors on a journey following the footstep of the Buddha through the vast land of India and the Asian continents, from his birth place to where his gave his first Sermon and achieved Nirvana (Enlightment).

Through the pictures, the deeply shared Buddhist traditions in Asia, from India, Uzbekistan, Siberia, China Vietnam, to Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Japan are illustrated vividly.

The exhibition is open for every interested inpiduals, free of charge, Monday to Friday, running through July 17 - 28, at two time frame: 10am – 12pm & 2pm-4pm at the Indian Cultural Center, 63 Tran Hung Dao str., Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi./.
