Buddhist wedding ceremony organised for 14 couples in Hanoi
(VNF) - Hang Thuan (Forever Together) ceremony, a Buddhist wedding was recently organised for 14 young couples in the Sung Phuc Pagoda in Long Bien district, Hanoi on April 15th.
The activity is part of the programme jointly launched by the mucinipal Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Ba Dinh district to promote civilised lifestyle in organising wedding ceremonies in Hanoi. (Source: danviet.vn)

Sitting in front of the couple in a kneeling position, with hands clasped together, monks raised their eyes and looked at the Buddha statue, loudly chanting prayers seeking Buddha's blessing for the couple to live together till death do them part. (Source: danviet.vn)
"Hang" as eternity and "Thuan" as unity. If a married couple seeks eternal unity, they should sincerely say their vows out loud before the Three Precious Ones and promise under oath to stay faithful to each other for the rest of their lives. (Source: danviet.vn)
