Childfund Vietnam and Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs in Cao Bang province cooperated to hold a conference for introducing the project “extending the effectiveness of child protect system”.

This project was sponsored by Childfund Vietnam with 6.2 billion VND (estimate 267.000 USD) as the grant aid and implemented in 7 villages in Quang Uyen district and 6 villages in Tra Linh district, Cao Bang province. It also helped to strengthen the capacity of child protection system and the adaption of teenagers with 3 main objectives: raising the village officer’s efficiency for resolving the problems; preventing the child protection issues by attracting their parents and child caregivers for a safety environment to children; setting up and developing the child’s adaptive abilities by combining the child’s participation into community innovation.

The actual situations of child protection’s activities in Cao Bang, launching the software application in child protection, attracting people’s participation to report issues in the project funded by MS and the main child protection programs in the following time of the Government were informed in the conference.

Also in the conference, delegations discussed and shared ideas to progress the child protection’s activities such as: propagating, educating and mobilizing people to follow the child protection law, providing information or reporting the child abuses and violence in every regions; preventing child marriage and accident injuries; protecting and caring disable children and others who in difficult circumstances./.
