Ms. Trinh Thi Le Tram, Head of Hanoi Association for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control cum Director of the Center for Legal Support and Policy Advisory, said this is an annual humanitarian activity of the association.

Hanoi now has 586 children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. They are children of about 2,000 members of 36 peer groups, working for HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

The program aims to help children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS to welcome a warm and joyful Tet like other children. This is also a chance to call upon the community to share the daily difficulties these children are suffering.

Mr. Le Nhan Tuan, Director of the Hanoi Center for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, affirmed that in the coming time, the center will support launching a web page for peer groups in order to help them operate more effectively in HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

Moreover, the association and center will organize training courses and other activities to reach the 90-90-90 target. At the same time, it strives to reach the target of 100% of members of peer groups having health insurance; and 75% of HIV/AIDS carriers in Hanoi having health insurance.

Hanoi has about 10,000 HIV/AIDS carriers and only 30% of them are using health insurance./.
