Chu Ha Giang's painting takes advantage of recycled materials, such as cardboard, children's toys, plastic bags, candy wrappers, and straws to recreate the image of a polluted ocean.
"The marine environment is polluted. I want to call on the efforts to save the ocean. Each of us can protect the environment with the smallest actions like limiting littering, and classifying waste... Every small action today creates positive contributions for the future," said Giang.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Denmark in Your Eyes Painting Contest 2023 drew the attendance of 256 schools and clubs in 42 provinces. There were more than 21,500 entries, with high artistic quality and many unique creative ideas. |

Another impressive contestant in this year's contest is fourteen-year-old student Pham Quynh Chi (Chau Binh Secondary School, Nghe An). With the painting entitled "Dad, don't go hunting anymore," Quynh Chi shared that she wants to spread awareness about the increasingly serious problem of wildlife hunting in Vietnam and around the world.
"I drew a picture of two children crying while holding their father's hand to stop them from going into the forest to hunt. I also drew the sad expression of children whose fathers brought back home the wild animals they hunted. The message is that protecting wildlife is also protecting the environment and protecting children's future," said Chi.
At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded 62 individual prizes, including 1 Special prize, 2 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes, and 50 Consolation prizes to elementary and middle school students in 22 provinces and cities. Awards for the collective were given to the Union of Friendship Organizations of Can Tho City (Can Tho), Sentia Interschool (Hanoi), and Nguyen Sieu Primary School (Hanoi).
