Da Nang’s Ba Na resort welcomes one millionth tourist
(VNF)- A luxury resort in Ba Na Hill, one of the most popular destinations in the central city of Da Nang, on Monday welcomed its one millionth tourist in 2015.
The Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort received its one millionth tourist on July 27, which marked a substantial growth in the number of tourists to Da Nang city, as in 2014, the one millionth visitor did not arrive at the tourism site until November.
A wide array of activities, particularly during Halloween and Christmas, will be offered at the tourism site.
In related news, Da Nang City will be a team sponsor and Host Port of the Clipper 2015-2016 Round the World Yacht Race, heard a press conference held on Monday.
A sponsorship agreement was inked earlier the same day.
David Cusworth, Director of the Clipper Race’s Crew Recruitment and Development, stressed the race will better promote Da Nang to the world.
The Clipper Race fleet is poised to arrive in Da Nang in mid-February 2016.
The racers will depart on August 30, 2015 in London, the UK, and sail to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); Cape Town (South Africa); Albany, Sydney, Hobart and Whitsundays (Australia) before arriving in the Vietnamese city and returning to London on July 30, 2016./.
