Attending event were Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission; Nguyen Phuong Nga, Secretary of the Party's designated representation, VUFO Chairwoman; Pham Dinh Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nam Dinh People's Committee and representatives of central agencies; Nam Dinh province and VUFO officials.

According to the Decision No. 1393-QĐNS/TW issued on July 17, 2019 by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on appointing appointing Bach Ngoc Chien, Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh province People's Committee as a member of VUFO Party's designated representation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Nguyen Thanh Binh stressed that Chien is a competent cadre and party member who has taken on many different positions in many years working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Television (VTV) and Nam Dinh People's Committee. No matter what positions, Chien always strives to complete the task.

“Chien possesses firm political stance and always closely follow the direction and policy of the Party as well as the State's policies and laws, and experience at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which meet with the requirement of a member of VUFO Party's designated representation," he said.

Binh believes that, with his ability, qualifications and experience, Chien and other members of VUFO Party's designated representation and leaders will contribute to the implementation of the Party and State's roadmap, policy in foreign affairs and the fulfilment of VUFO's political missions.

In her remarks at the event, VUFO Chairwoman Nguyen Phuong Nga congratulated Chien on receiving the decision to be a member of VUFO Party's designated representation.

On behalf of the VUFO Party's designated representation and leaders, Nga affirmed that she would support Chien to adjust to the new working environment and integrate with VUFO collectives; to promote their abilities, actively contribute to the work of the people-to-people relations and to build and develop the Friendship Union in the new situation.

For his part, Chien expressed his honor and gladness to take on the position assigned by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and pledged to strictly implement the assignment of the Party's designated representation and Friendship Union; actively contribute to building a strong agency; always cultivate morality, professional and foreign language skills, complete all assigned tasks.

Before accepting his position at VUFO, Chien used to serve as Press Attaché of the Vietnamese Embassy in the US in the period of 2002-2005; chief of the foreign relations television department of the Vietnam Television (VTV) since 2007 and Deputy Chairman of Nam Dinh People's Committee from May 2014./.
