(VNF) - The third day performance of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) took place in the central city of Da Nang on June 2^nd. The teams of Martarello S.R.L from Italy and Vulcan Display Fireworks from Hong Kong, China offered their bright performances on Saturday night.

Two teams from Italy (Martarello S.R.L) and China’s Hong Kong (Vulcan Display Fireworks Ltd.) provided the audience with magnificent fireworks displays in combination with modern music.

The DIFF 2018 features spectacular fireworks performances and a series of correlated events in the central city from April 30^th to June 30^th.

Inspired by the bridges that have carved the history of Da Nang evolution, DIFF 2018 is entitled “The Legend of Bridges”. The eight teams include host Vietnam, three-time champion Italy, previous winners the U.S. and France, Poland, Portugal, and first-time contenders Sweden and Hong Kong.

The contest is being held over five nights, beginning with a match between Vietnam and Poland on April 30^th, followed by France vs. the U.S. on May 26^th, Italy vs. Hong Kong on June 2^nd, and Sweden vs. Portugal on June 9^th.

The two teams with the most spectacular displays will duel in the final round on June 30^th for the championship.

In addition to the fireworks display, DIFF 2018 also features supporting activities, including a street festival, culinary spaces and artistic performances at the main stage.

2018 marks 10 years since the first “Da Nang Fireworks” and the creation of the brand name. Over the past 8 events, DIFF has constantly reinvented itself and has now developed into a world-class cultural and tourist event that is hosted on an annual basis from April to June.

Originally an annual event when founded in 2008, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition became a bi-annual event in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 over the Vietnam National Reunification Holiday which is celebrated on April 30^th. From 2018, we are lucky to be able to celebrate the festival as an annual event once again!

With careful preparation, each performance is not only a symphony of sound and light with an impressive firework display but also an artistic masterpiece, illustrating the competing countries’ world-class skills against the beautiful backdrop of Vietnam’s ‘Bridge City.’
