The digital economy is expected to contribute 30 percent of the national gross domestic product (GDP) by 2030 under the national strategy for the 4th Industrial Revolution recently adopted by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Accordingly, Vietnam aims to maximise opportunities brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution, widely apply new technologies in socio-economic development, and creates new technologies to push ahead with growth model reform.
