Exhibition “Truong Sa – Hoang Sa Archipelagos” opens in Dong Nai
(VNF) - An exhibition on Hoang Sa (Paracel), Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagos was officially opened in Dong Nai on July 19th with the attendance of Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education.

The event, organized by the provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Information and Communications, aims to raise awareness among all Vietnamese people, particularly the younger generation, on patriotism, national unity and a sense of responsibility.
Maps and papers that are authorized and chronological justification and proof that Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagos belong to Vietnam are being exhibited at the event.

On display are numerous documents and maps in Chinese, Nom (old Vietnamese writing using Chinese characters), issued from the 17th to the outset of the 20th century.
Worthy of note is a collection of four atlases and 30 maps compiled and published by China through historical periods, which prove China has never managed the islands.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors until July 23rd./.
