Ho Chi Minh City

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has approved the proposal by the City’s Military Command and the Department of Culture and Sports for fireworks shows to ring in the new year.

The displays will take place from midnight to 12:15 a.m. on January 29, 2025, the first day of the Lunar New Year.

The two high-altitude locations are:

The entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City.

Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District.

The 13 low-altitude locations are spread across the city, including:

Thu Duc City: Thao Dien Urban Area, near Rach Chiec Bridge along the Saigon River, and Ben Noc Memorial Temple.

Other districts: Rach Dia Bridge area (Nha Be District), Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), Memorial Site of the 1968 Tet Offensive (Binh Chanh District), Tay Bac Industrial Park (Cu Chi District), Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial (Can Gio District), the central square in District 7, the park in Tan Thoi Nhat Residential Area (District 12), Hoa Binh Square (Go Vap District), Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial (Hoc Mon District), and the area near Binh Dien Market (District 8).

This is the first time Ho Chi Minh City has organized fireworks displays at 15 locations during the Lunar New Year, significantly expanding from the eight locations in the 2024 celebration.

Hanoi

A special light show featuring 2,025 drones and firework performances will not only brighten Hanoi's skies but also aim to set a new world record on the Lunar New Year's Eve that falls on January 28.

The show is part of an artistic program Ruc Ro Thang Long 2025 (Glamour Thang Long 2025) jointly organised by the municipal and Nam Tu Liem District People's Committees and the Corex Business Solutions Joint Stock Company.

According to the organizers, the program would be one of the largest cultural events to welcome in 2025. The highlight will be the drone show, featuring 2,025 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), setting a Guinness World Record in pyro drone display.

The spectacular show will debut with an innovative combination of drones and high-altitude fireworks, accompanied by a distinguished artistic program, promising an extraordinary aerial light display.

The event will use advanced South Korean technology to orchestrate a breathtaking and safe display of lights and pyrotechnics, with a rehearsal on January 26 and will take place at My Dinh Square next to the National Stadium.

Themed Glorious Springs, the program will include four chapters, telling artistically rich stories about the springs which represent the historical moments of Hanoi and Vietnam.

It will also focus on inspirational stories of renewal, love, family reunions, and moments of national pride.

The drone show will be followed by a high-altitude fireworks display at midnight to welcome in the Year of the Snake 2025.

Organizers said the special show promised to create a wonder of light in the air and an eye-catching art display, and is expected to attract millions of views, both live at the event and on television and social networks.

Tay Ho District (at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, in front of the District People's Committee gate).

Nam Tu Liem District (at the F1 racetrack, Phu Do Ward).

Hai Ba Trung District (Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Le Dai Hanh Ward).

Ha Dong District (Van Quan Lake, Van Quan Ward).

Son Tay Town (Son Tay Ancient Citadel).

Dong Anh District (Dong Anh District Sports Center).

Bac Tu Liem District (Hoa Binh Park, Xuan Dinh Ward).

Ba Dinh District (at the Southeast of Ngoc Khanh Lake, Ngoc Khanh Ward).

Da Nang

Da Nang will organize 3 fireworks display locations in Hai Chau, Lien Chieu, and Hoa Vang districts on New Year's Eve 2025. Specifically, the display locations include: Location 1 on Bach Dang Street (intersection between Bach Dang - Binh Minh 6 Street); Location 2 in front of Lien Chieu District Administrative Center (land opposite to the East of the District Administrative Center); Location 3 in the Resettlement Area of the Western Ring Road (Duong Lam 1 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District).

Nghe An

Vinh City, Nghe An Province will organize an Art Program and Fireworks Display to welcome the New Year at Ho Chi Minh Square and Vinh City Walking Street from 0:00 am to 0:15 am on January 29, 2025.

This is a program to welcome the New Year of the Snake, organized on a large scale and gathering many unique cultural and artistic contents. The organizers want to express the spirit of solidarity, the culture of the Nghe people, and the unique traditional features of the Tet Holiday.

Hue

Hue will organize high-altitude fireworks displays to welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025 at 4 locations, including the center of Hue City and the districts of A Luoi, Phu Loc, and Phong Dien.

In addition, Hue will also organize a low-altitude fireworks display in the New Year's Eve Art Program at 10:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025.

Hai Duong

Hai Duong will organize a fireworks display on New Year's Eve at Bach Dang Lake Park. Accordingly, the city will display 1,000 high-altitude fireworks and 120 low-altitude fireworks displays for an expected time of 15 minutes, from 11:15 pm to 11:30 pm on January 28, 2025.
