ASEAN is one of India's major trading partners with an 11% share in India's global trade. Bilateral trade reaches US $122.67 billion in 2023-2024. The review of AITIGA will facilitate further expansion of trade between the two sides in a balanced and sustainable manner. It is expected that the 5th ASEAN-India Joint Committee meeting will take place from July 29-31, 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Both sides are aiming to conclude the review in 2025.
