France: First international destination for Vietnam Airlines’ A350-900 XWB service
(VNF) - An Airbus A350-900 XWB connecting Paris-Hanoi landed at Noi Bai International Airport on October 2nd, marking Vietnam Airlines’ official operation of the top-class aircraft to meet the increasing travel demand from passengers.

Seeing the flight off from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on October 1st, from the French Ministry of Transport, Claude Morel congratulated Vietnam’s carrier on becoming one of the leading airlines in the region through continually modernizing its fleet and bettering its services.

He also hailed the effective cooperation between the two nations as well as the partnership between Vietnam Airlines and Air France, and Airbus manufacturer.

While Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said he is delighted at improved services made by Vietnam Airlines as these brought in satisfactions from both domestic and international passengers, saying that France is one of the European biggest partners of Vietnam, while Vietnam is a favorite destination for nearly 300,000 French arrivals each year.

This October, Vietnam Airlines operates the A350 on the Hanoi-Paris and Ho Chi Minh city-Paris routes.

On the first 6 flights using A350-900 XWB aircraft, Vietnam Airlines also offers special traditional gifts for both Vietnamese and international passengers from/to France.

The Republic of Korea is the next destination for A350-900 XWB service in the Hanoi-Incheon (Seoul) air route, operated on October 1st.

Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer shows that Vietnam Airlines has two A350-900s in service. It has 12 more on order, including ordered directly from Airbus and leasing firms./.
