A gala night called ‘Hai Phong Vuon Ra Bien Lon” (Hai Phong Reaching out to Sea) is scheduled to take place on the evening of May 12th to mark the 63rd anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (Mat 13th, 1955-2018).
Low-range displays of fireworks will be organised on the opening ceremony of the festival on the same day.
Particularly, the festival will also include a Carnival parade and art performances of both domestic and foreign troupes.
The annual festival was initiated in 2011, from the idea of organising a cultural tourism festival showcasing a beautiful flower blossom abundant in the city, to promote and build tourism and enhance the image of Hai Phong.
Over the last seasons, Flamboyant Flower Festival has gradually built up to become a recognised festival of Hai Phong, symbolising and praising the land and people of this land./.
