Hai Phong, Vietnam and Gwangju, South Korea Exchange Artistic Talents

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and South Korea have organized several cultural activities.

On October 15, an art exhibition between the two cities of Hai Phong (Vietnam) and Gwangju (South Korea) took place at the Hai Phong Cinema and Exhibition Information Center.

At the opening of the exhibition, Dang Thi Thuy, Vice President of Hai Phong Literary and Art Union said that the art exhibition between the cities of Hai Phong and Gwangju is an art exchange activity under the collaboration program between the Korean Professional Artists Association branch in Gwangju and Hai Phong Union of Literature and Art.

The event is one of many cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (1992-2022).

The exhibition displays more than 100 paintings by more than 90 authors, including nearly 60 artists from Gwangju and 35 artists from Hai Phong.

Along with that, there are 3 publications with drawings of more than 100 artists Hai Phong and Gwangju printed into books and published by 3 publishers in Korea.

To introduce and highlight the distinctive qualities of Vietnamese and South Korean fine arts, as well as the similarities and differences between each nation's culture and art, all these works of art by artists from the two nations, are presented in a variety of forms, materials, schools, brushstrokes, and styles on themes of life, nature, and people.

The exhibition is an opportunity to exchange and share experiences, aesthetic views, art as well as composition techniques, creating an opportunity to learn and learn more about the culture and art of the two countries.

The exhibition's organizers also hope that it will inspire positive feelings in visitors and lead to the continuation and expansion of activities of a similar nature that will enhance people's lives. People's cultural and spiritual life has significantly improved the interchange, friendship, and collaboration between the people of Hai Phong in particular, Vietnam in general, and the country and the people of South Korea.

The exhibition is open from October 15 to 19, 2022.
