The Arts Council is made up of five prominent puppetry art advocates appointed by the Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Water puppetry, land puppetry, shadow puppetry, stick puppetry, and string puppetry are among the varieties of puppetry that have registered to participate in the festival, according to the regulations.
The performances must be of great artistic quality, filled with the cultural identity of each country and ethnic group, and have never won awards at previous international puppet festivals held in Vietnam.
The organizing committee will present souvenir trophies to art units participating in the festival, Gold and Silver Medals, and incentives for performances associated with the names of the units and performing artists, based on the Arts Council's evaluation results.
