HAUFO presents gifts to social policy beneficiaries

On July 23, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) and Tinh Hoa Dat Viet Magazine held a Incense Ceremony and Grateful Ceremony to honor Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, social policy beneficiaries on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

A requiem was held at the Hoa Lo relic site to pray for the soul of heroic martyrs. After that, a parade and musical programme featuring performances honouring patriotism as well as the great sacrifices by Vietnamese people to national liberation, were hosted.

At the ceremony, organisers have presented 60 gift packages valued at VND 5 million each to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, local war invalids, sick soldiers and social policy families.

On this occasion, inpiduals businessmen and companies support the event, also received memorial medals, certificates.

Earlier, Hanoi’s authorities have presented more than 387,000 gift packages valued at over 156 billion VND (6.7 million USD) to social policy beneficiaries.

Of those, 121,792 gift packages presented by the President were handed over to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers and Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims.

The city also granted 121,663 gifts worth 95 trillion VND (4.05 million USD) which was sourced from its budget to the social policy beneficiaries./.
