The iconic flower street of Ho Chi Minh City - Nguyen Hue street will feature a giant rooster to celebrate the Lunar Year of the Rooster.

The 2017 Nguyen Hue Flower Street will be launched from Jan 25 to 31 ( Lunar Dec 28th to 4th January).

Nguyen Hue Flower Street is well-known for its vibrant display of various kinds of flowers. This year, flower artworks will be framed using steel and other materials, then colorfully painted by a team led by Van Tong, an artisan living in District 12.

Besides exhibiting flower artworks, the 2017 festival plans to catch visitor's eyes by featuring a huge rooster – the zodiac of the Lunar New Year, which is 3.5 meters tall, together with a 2.8-meter-tall hen and 15 little chickens.

The rooster’s head and crow are specially designed to be capable of moving.
