HCM City promotes friendship with 48 foreign localities
(VNF) - In 2017, Ho Chi Minh City has established partnership with 48 foreign localities. The figure was highlighted in a year-end conference held by the Department of External Relations of Ho Chi Minh City on December 29.

According to the report released at the conference, HCM.City recently signed four Memoranda of Understanding on establishing friendship and cooperative ties with three localities of the Republic of Korea and one locality of Japan in 2017, raising the number of its partnership with foreign localities to 48.
In the year 2017, the department has hosted over 150 high-ranking foreign delegations and various other international events, including APEC events, leaving positive impressions on international friends.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son spoke highly of the city's role in making proactive step in international integration, contributing to the success of the APEC Year 2017 held in Vietnam.
He also took the occasion to express his expectation that in the future, the city will continue to be one of the leading localities in international affairs and keep on increasing cooperations with overseas partners, pushing forward trade, investment, tourism, contributing to the progress of the country./.
