Hieu Waterfall – A Unique Natural Wonder In Thanh Hoa
Located in Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Hieu Waterfall is a hidden gem in Thanh Hoa Province. From Hanoi, tourists can travel along Highway 6 through Mai Chau, and Hoa Binh, then continue along Highway 15C to Co Luong, Dong Dien, and Pu Luong. If they depart from Thanh Hoa, from the center of Co Lung commune, they can continue trekking about 4km through primeval forests and ethnic villages to reach the foot of the waterfall. During the journey, they will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful winding terraced fields.
Hieu waterfall is about 100m high, created by the Hieu stream flowing through the Pu Luong limestone mountain range. According to the local people, the stream flows all year round and never dries up, which is why travelers can come here in any season of the year.
