Highland children receive warm clothes

(VNF) - ChildFund Vietnam on January 12th granted nearly 2,300 warm clothes with a value of over VND200 million to children in Kim Truy and Hop Dong communes, Kim Boi district, in the northern province of Hoa Binh, as lunar New Year presents.

(VNF) - ChildFund Vietnam on January 12th granted nearly 2,300 warm clothes with a value of over VND200 million to children in Kim Truy and Hop Dong communes, Kim Boi district, in the northern province of Hoa Binh, as lunar New Year presents.

The annual activity has been organised over the past 10 years. Accordingly, based on the demand of a majority of children in communities, ChildFund Vietnam chooses and gives the most suitable presents for the children, especially daily essentials such as books,, warm clothes and shoes.

Earlier, the presents were mainly given to children in poor and disadvantaged families; however, since 2014, the giving of presents now includes every child in the community.

In the near future, sets of educational equipment will to be granted to 2,300 children in Que Ha commune, Kim Boi district.

Apart from Hoa Binh province, winter presents will come to children in the disadvantaged districts of Quang Uyen and Tra Linh (Cao Bang province), Na Ri (Bac Can province), and Cao Phong and Ky Son (Hoa Binh province).
