(VNF) - The quintessence of French architecture in the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi, will be displayed to the public via a wide range of documents and photos at the Hanoi Opera House. The event is jointly held by the National Archives Centre 1, Hanoi Opera House and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

It is also one of the theatre’s historical and architectural tours and art shows.

70 official documents, photos and drafts.

These buildings include Hanoi Opera House, Louis Finot (the nowadays Vietnam Museum of History), Indochina University (Hanoi General University), Hanoi Post Office, Indochina Finance Office (the nowadays head office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Doumer Bridge (currently Long Bien Bridge).

"The exhibited is expected to provide visitors with a more comprehensive view of Hanoi’s architecture during the French colonial era and facilitate access to precious archives that are particularly significant to research on the capital’s history and culture", said Dang Thanh Tung, Head of the State Department of Record Management and Archive.

French Architecture in the Heart of Hanoi will run until October 27th./.
