Launching the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Entrepreneur Club
The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) coordinated to organize a meeting to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day on the afternoon of October 1.
Speaking at the meeting, HUFO Vice President Ho Xuan Lam said that in recent times, the Vietnamese business community has continuously promoted the sustainable development of enterprises in particular and the national economy in general; always making creative efforts to overcome all challenges and hardships on the path to bringing the Vietnamese economy to the world, standing shoulder to shoulder with international friends. In particular, a significant contribution to the success of the Vietnamese business community is the cooperation and support of foreign businessmen.

According to the HUFO Vice President, the friendly relationship and mutual understanding between Vietnam and international friends have created a foundation for trust and effective cooperation between Vietnamese and foreign entrepreneurs; and this trust and cooperation further strengthens the friendship between the parties.
Lam hopes that businesses will exchange and share business experiences, explore potential projects and partners, etc. From there, economic cooperation between Vietnam and other countries will also become more favorable, and the relationship between the parties will also become increasingly better.
On this occasion, the HUFO debuts the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Entrepreneur Club.

Gather to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Day of German Unity
On the same day, the HUFO held a meeting to celebrate the 34th Day of German Unity (October 3, 1990 - October 3, 2024).
In his congratulatory speech, Nguyen Anh Tuan, president of the city's Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association, congratulated Germany on its socio-economic achievements over the past 3 decades; and congratulated Germany on always maintaining its leading role in the European Union.
Tuan Anh said that the municipal Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association, whose members are alumni, is striving to maintain the friendly relationship between the two countries through exchanges and networking. The association constantly strives to cooperate with the German Consulate General in the city and German partners in establishing relationships, providing management consulting, technology transfer, and charity projects as a social commitment to the community, to the development of society, and to contribute to the friendship and understanding between the people of the two countries.
He affirmed to close coordination with the German Consul General, and actively participated in joint events between the two countries to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Germany diplomatic relations in 2025; believing that both sides will make every effort to always be reliable partners, enthusiastic advisors, and dedicated members in all activities to strengthen and consolidate the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
Thanking the HUFO for organizing a meeting to celebrate an important event in the history of Germany, German Consul General Josefine Wallat, shared the historical significance of the German Unity Day 34 years ago, opening an impressive development period of unified Germany.

Expressing her joy at the positive development of the Strategic Partnership between Germany and Vietnam, the German diplomat appreciated the effectiveness of cooperation between German enterprises in the city in the field of providing services and medical equipment as well as the role and positive contribution of Vietnamese students and interns who have been working and living in Germany to the overall development of the relationship between Germany and Vietnam.
The German Consulate General hopes to continue receiving active cooperation from the HUFO and the city's Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties, especially in cultural exchange activities and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to strengthening and developing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Germany and Vietnam.
