Homeland Values on Display at Osaka's Vietnam Festival
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu stated that the festival promotes mutual understanding and strengthens the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Japan by introducing the values of Vietnamese culture to Japanese and foreign visitors.

He praised Kansai local officials for accompanying and supporting the Vietnamese community in Japan to better integrate with the host nation.
In response, Japanese Ambassador in Charge of the Kansai Region Tsutomo Himeno expressed his delight at the strong ties between Vietnam and Kansai in particular, and the Vietnam-Japan relations in general, hoping that the two countries could collaborate to establish a world of happiness.
The festival also received letters of congratulations from Osaka prefecture Governor Yoshimura Hirofumi, Nara prefecture Governor Yamashita Makoto, and Osaka City Mayor Yokoyama Hideyuki.

According to the organizing committee, there are numerous cultural exhibitions and art performances at the festival. The highlight is the participation of the delegation from Hoi An City with art programs filled with the local cultural colors of Hoi An ancient town; booths offering tourist information and city services; as well as handicraft products created by prominent craftsmen from Hoi An's traditional craft villages.
This year's festival also includes booths featuring traditional products and cuisine. In addition to culinary booths introducing traditional Vietnamese specialties, there are areas for Vietnamese enterprises to introduce their products and services to Japanese friends, contributing to promoting trade and investment between the two countries.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Association in Kansai organized an incense offering for the Hung Kings' Commemoration and received the "Certificate of establishing the record of the Hung Kings' Commemoration of Vietnamese people abroad being held the most consecutive times annually" (six times), awarded by the Global Vietnamese Record Organization under the World Record Union.
The Vietnam Festival in Osaka 2024 is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors to visit and participate in cultural activities.
