On April 15, the Horasis China Meeting 2024 with the theme "Developing together towards the future" officially opened in Binh Duong province.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, representatives of ministries, branches and more than 700 delegates and businesses from Vietnam and China attended the meeting.

This international event marked a new step in promoting economic cooperation between Vietnam and China, opening up new opportunities for investment cooperation.

Binh Duong, one of the fastest growing provinces in Vietnam, has attracted the attention of the international community with its modern infrastructure and a friendly investment environment.

Choosing Binh Duong as the venue for the Horasis China Meeting 2024 is a testament to the international community's recognition of the province's economic development potential.

With the participation of more than 700 guests from senior leaders, corporations, businesses and economic associations from both China and Vietnam, this meeting promises to bring new and extensive cooperation opportunities.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that the Horasis China Meeting 2024 will create opportunities for parties to share vision, seek opportunities, and strengthen cooperation in innovation.

The meeting is not only a good opportunity for Binh Duong to promote its image to international friends, but it is also an opportunity for international businesses to learn about and choose Binh Duong - an attractive, reliable investment destination, a land worth living in, with long-term development, and investment efficiency.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha expressed his hope that Binh Duong will continue to be a pioneer in innovative thinking, which will open a new era of digital transformation, green energy transformation, green and circular economy towards sustainable development, and becoming a smart city.

This meeting is also an opportunity for the Government, localities, and domestic and international businesses to strengthen cooperation with the key goal of innovation, and green energy development.

The Vietnamese Government is committed to always listening, understanding, and initiating good mechanisms to create solid confidence for investors.

“I hope that through the meeting's dialogue sessions, there will be initiatives to help the Government and businesses work together to build adaptive policies to integrate for the future of the world, in which the trend is to strengthen connection and cooperation for the common development goal not only in Vietnam but globally," Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Vo Van Minh also emphasized the important role of the event in promoting international investment cooperation and finding solutions to important challenges of multinational corporations, and businesses.

The Chairman of Binh Duong province appreciated the Horasis Meeting as an opportunity to connect potential investors with leaders and managers with an extensive vision to jointly solve urgent and important problems in production and business that affect the country and the world.

During the event, Binh Duong authorities approved numerous investment proposals and granted investment registration certificates to businesses.

Nearly 10 FDI enterprises were awarded investment registration certificates totaling over US$223 million.

Many domestic enterprises also approved investment proposals on various infrastructure projects, social housing, and large real estate projects.

Vo Van Minh, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said the province would continue creating the most favorable conditions for investors.

With 29 industrial parks and 12 industrial clusters, Binh Duong remains one of Vietnam’s top three provinces in FDI attraction with nearly 4,255 projects worth a total of US$40.5 billion as of today, he said.

Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, founder and chairman of Horasis, said it was essential to foster knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships to drive economic development in Binh Duong, Vietnam, and across Asia, to create a “thriving ecosystem of innovation” that extends beyond borders.
