ICAV: Two decades of connecting Vietnam and Argentina
(VNF) - The Argentina-Vietnam Culture Institute (ICAV) on October 20 marked its 20th founding anniversary. In the last two decades, the institute has well performed its role as a bridge for the friendship between the two countries.

Former Vice President Truong My Hoa and Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung attended the celebration.
Addressing the event, former Vice President Truong My Hoa affirmed the Vietnamese people’s gratitude to Argentinian friends for their valuable assistance given to Vietnam during the past struggles against foreign invaders as well as the current national renewal process.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung spoke highly of the ICAV’s valuable contributions to promote the images of the Vietnamese land and people in Argentina.
He expressed his wish that the ICAV will continue to persify its activities to foster the friendship and solidarity between the two countries and their peoples.

ICAV President Poldi Sosa Schmidt, for her part, affirmed the Argentinian people’s affection for Vietnam, saying that she admires the socio-economic achievements the Southeast Asian nation has made in recent time.

Founded on December 18, 1997, ICAV has been contributing significantly to the development of the friendship between Vietnam and Argentina.
In over the last 20 years, a variety of exchange activities were held by the Institute, including shows of Ao dai (Vietnam traditional long dress), tourism fairs, traditional dance, theatre and music performances, as well as culinary art and Vietnamese talk shows, film screenings and seminars./.
