What are the remarkable results of the people-to-people diplomacy of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) as of the mid-term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress?

- For more than 2 years, the whole system of VUFO at the central and local levels has actively implemented action programs to implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, Secretariat's Directive 12-CT/TW dated 5/1/2022 on strengthening the Party's leadership and improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation.

Following the guidance by General Secretary Nguyen Phu In at the National Foreign Relations Conference on December 14, 2021 "We must be sharp-witted, dare to think, dare to do, have the spirit of being proactive, dare to think outside the box to go beyond the national level, reach the regional and international level" and the motto of "active, flexible, creative, productive results" of people-to-people diplomacy, VUFO system is operational and strong efforts to innovation.

The first results of people-to-people diplomacy are the efforts to strengthen relations with the people of neighboring countries, important partners, and traditional friends, and expand with new partners. The second is to promote the mobilization of external resources to serve the construction and development of the country. The third is to actively renew the work of external information research and consultation. The fourth is to actively consolidate and build a strong organization, strengthening our connection between the central government and the locality.

As people-to-people diplomacy is having an increasingly important role in external relations. What are VUFO's main goals and tasks to improve the efficiency of external relations via people-to-people diplomacy in the coming time?

- VUFO clearly defines the task following the guidances that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong provided at the 2021 National Conference on People-to-people Diplomacy on "building and developing a modern Vietnamese diplomacy imbued with national identity, which is "bamboo diplomacy, "strong roots, firm body, flexible branches", to promote the strengths of Congress that people-to-people diplomacy, coordinating and effectively supporting the diplomatic efforts that the State goal, Party and 13th policy Party's

On the afternoon of July 18, the delegation of VUFO and its member organizations visited the International Center for Science and Interdisciplinary Education, the Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation (Quy Nhon City) at the sideline of the 2023 National Conference on People-to-people Diplomacy.

In the coming time, VUFO will focus on the following key tasks: Improving the quality and efficiency of people-to-people diplomacy activities, consolidating and expanding the network of international friends, enhancing friendship and development cooperation with the people of other countries, especially neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia, China, ASEAN countries and strategic, comprehensive and traditional partners. Another key task is closely linking the activities of VUFO and its member organizations at the central level with local member organizations to create unity, increasing efficiency and engagement.

VUFO will focus on actively implementing the Secretariat's Directive 15-CT/TW dated August 10, 2022, on economic diplomacy in service of national development until 2030 and promote the successful implementation of the National Program on strengthening cooperation and foreign non-governmental advocacy in 2019 - 2025.

At the same time, VUFO makes an effort to actively implement Conclusion 57-KL/TW dated June 15, 2023, of the Politburo on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of external information work in the new situation and the Prime Minister's Directive No. 25/CT-TTg dated September 10, 2021, on hastened the implementation of Vietnam's foreign cultural strategy. Another task is to implement the conclusion No. 12-KL/TW dated 12/8/2021 of the Politburo on overseas Vietnamese work in the new situation, c completing the building of development orientations of the VUFO system.

- In recent years, Binh Dinh has achieved important results in the field of foreign affairs and international integration, paying great attention to external affairs and successfully organizing many major events

With nearly 23 years of experience in operation and 6 member organizations (which are friendship associations with Laos, Japan, France, Korea, New Zealand, and Cambodia), Binh Dinh Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations is full of enthusiasm and has great responsibility at many meaningful and practical activities

From April 2023, it has issued the Action Program to implement Plan No. 02/KH-UBND dated January 4, 2023, of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Plan No. 41-KH/TU dated October 17, 2022, on strengthening the leadership of the Party, improving the effectiveness of people-people-diplomacy in the new situation.

Thereby, by actively coordinating with departments, agencies, and district-level People's Committees, it organizes the effective implementation of people-to-people diplomacy and strongly renews content and operational efficiency. It strengthened foreign non-governmental aid mobilization and information exchange about external relations. Thereby, it cr created favorable conditions for member organizations to perform well.
