India is progressing by following Buddha’s teachings – PM Modi |
He said this while addressing the 2023 World Buddhist Summit held in New Delhi.
India follows the path of Buddha’s principles, practice and realization. India has progressed rapidly on these three points.
As India completes 75 years of independence, it has successfully hosted the World Buddhist Summit.
India is progressing as a developed country. India is taking forward many things not only for the benefit of India but also for the benefit of the entire world.
We can embrace happiness only when we renounce the sense of victory, defeat, conflict and war. Lord Buddha has taught the way to overcome these. True happiness lies in living in peace. So, if the world wants to be happy, we have to get rid of narrow thinking.
The path of the Buddha is the path of the future; A sustainable path. If the world had followed the Buddha’s teachings, even a crisis like climate change would not have come before us. Because, in the last century, some countries did not think about others or future generations.
Be it the peace operations in various countries of the world or calamities like the earthquake in Turkey, India has shown its full potential and helped with humanity in every crisis, he said.
