Japan Aomori Food Fair 2017 in full swing in Hanoi

The Japan Aomori Food Fair 2017, which celebrates the cuisine diversity of some of the delicacies of Hachinohe and other cities in Aomori Prefecture of Japan, took place January 18th-22nd at Aeon Mall Long Bien in Hanoi.

(VNF) - The Japan Aomori Food Fair 2017, which celebrates the cuisine persity of some of the delicacies of Hachinohe and other cities in Aomori Prefecture of Japan, takes place January 18th-22nd at Aeon Mall Long Bien in Hanoi.

This five-day event aims to attract several thousand visitors–children and adults–to experience a variety of perse and flavorful food products, and interacting with Ikazukinzu, mascots from Hachinohe city, Aomori.

The opening ceremony of the food fair was held at Wednesday morning (Jan. 18th) and it is the first time the Aomori food fair held in Hanoi.

Exhibitors and featured items include high quality apple dressings and vinegars made from famous Aomori apples; high end teas; black garlic; seafood including mackerel, scallops, etc.; various delicious Japanese senbei (rice crackers) in various flavors including apple and creamy caramel; delicious sweets including gori mochi (deep fried manju with mochi filling) and goma daifuku (rice cake with sesame and red bean filling); Senbei Jiru, a traditional soup of Hachinohe where rice crackers are broken into pieces and added into one pot soup dishes; cheesecake and pound cake desserts using ingredients from Aomori and many more specialty items from Aomori.
