According to Mizushima Kozo, chairman of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in HCMC (JCCH), the total number of members of JCCH is 1,049 enterprises. This shows the interest of Japanese businesses in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mizushima Kozo appreciated the companionship of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and JCCH to remove obstacles and create the best investment environment through continuous roundtable meetings over the past 22 years.
Cultural and social activities organized by JCCH in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City departments every year contribute to increasing the connection with people between the two countries.
Mizushima Kozo also said that this year, JCCH will hold many events to attract the Vietnamese people.
He looked forward to continuing to have meetings and working sessions with the city's government, departments and branches to discuss cooperation orientation, thereby jointly supporting the development of businesses.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan acknowledged JCCH's contribution through many forums and dialogues between leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and the foreign business community. This is to support the city to improve the business investment environment and accelerate economic recovery after the pandemic.
Vo Van Hoan wished that JCCH will continue to promote its role and introduce to the city experienced businesses that have wide connections with the Japanese government, and research institutes, for investment as well as policy consultation, supporting the development process of the city.
It is expected that next September, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation will visit and work in Japan. Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan asked JCCH to coordinate in proposing business and investment cooperation contents to prepare for the visit.
The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in HCMC (JCCH) was established at the end of 1993 with members being Japanese businesses and investors in the southern region. JCCH is conducting four main activities, including exchanging information and promoting friendship among members, improving investment and business environment, cooperating with Japan associations, contributing to Vietnamese society and enhancing cultural exchanges. |
