Since then, the center has provided free training for hundreds of students each year. Beyond local teachers, the center also receives Vietnamese instructors each year to ensure the highest quality of education.
The Vietnamese Language Center in Savannakhet province not only meets the need to learn Vietnamese for the children of overseas Vietnamese in particular and Lao people in general, but it is also a place for cultural exchange between the young generations of the two countries. Through learning and practicing Vietnamese, students here will better understand the image of Vietnam, its culture, and its people. This helps the young generations of the two countries understand each other better, and strengthen the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

Establishing Vietnam Studies Center
With an area of about 50 square meters, located on the campus of Osaka University, Japan, the Vietnam Studies Center is a collaborative research and in-depth training facility for teaching Vietnamese, providing data and multidimensional knowledge about Vietnam. The center contributes to promoting understanding and good cooperation between Japan and Vietnam.
Professor Shimizu Masaky, head of the Vietnamese Department, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Osaka University, expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation agreements between the Vietnamese Department and some Vietnamese universities in the future. This activity aims to exchange students, experts, scientists, and lecturers between the school and Vietnamese partners in studying, researching, teaching, and working on a limited basis. The cooperation will play a bridging role to connect the Vietnam Research Association in Japan with Vietnam studies experts more deeply and comprehensively.
