During the session, Dien praised the cooperation of TNB Renewables and Malaysian businesses with Vietnam, highlighting the nation's potential for wind power due to its 3,260 km coastline. He emphasized that the green power grid connecting Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore will be part of a Southeast Asian initiative. Vietnam is ready to support investors in developing renewable energy projects. TNB Renewables, a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, plays a key role in Malaysia's energy transition towards net zero emissions by 2050.

Datuk Ir. Dr. Shamsul Ahmad, TNB Chief Regulatory and Stakeholder Management Officer, emphasized the company's commitment to accelerating the sustainable energy transition in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He highlighted TNB's interest in partnering with Vietnam on wind power projects and expanding cooperation to third countries. Halal cooperation has received significant attention from both nations' leaders, enhancing bilateral trade and opening new business opportunities. The Ministry of Industry and Trade's Asia-Africa Market Department and the Halal Development Corporation (HDC) signed a Letter of Intent on Halal cooperation on November 22.

Vietnam Trade Counsellor in Malaysia Le Phu Cuong emphasized the importance of the Letter of Intent, which supports shared goals in training and organizing Halal product events in Vietnam and Malaysia. This helps businesses understand Halal exports. About 1,000 Vietnamese businesses have Halal certificates for 3,000 products. The agreement addresses this challenge, boosting economic and trade cooperation, especially in energy and Halal products. Both sides need to enhance trade promotion, business connections, and collaboration in areas of mutual strength.
