More silver for Vietnamese lifter at World Para Championship
Vietnamese lifter Nguyen Binh An on December 7th won a silver medal in the men’s 54kg category at the ongoing World Para Weightlifting Championships 2017 in Mexico City.

An bagged the medal after lifting of 178kg at the final round of 184kg.
After six days of competition, Vietnam seized one gold and two silver medals, and broke a world record.
Lifter Le Van Cong, on December 4th, made a new world’s record in the men’s 49kg category after securing his best score at the fourth lifting with 183.5kg, surpassing all rivals and breaking the world’s and also his own record (183kg) set in 2016.
Vietnam sent six weightlifters to the games, participated by 72 countries, to compete in the men’s 49kg, 54kg, 59kg, and 65kg, and the women’s 50kg and 55kg./.
